Mstera

Picture
Village of Mstera
Even from a distance, the admirer of lacquer-ware can usually detect the work of Mstera's miniaturists among all the rest. Mstera's characteristic pale tones, in a typical ivory-colored background, contrasts sharply with the bright and bold hues of most other lacquered miniatures. Mstera's artistic community finds its roots in the icon painting of centuries gone by, and yet they have found a new path all their own in their creation of distinctive art in miniature painting.
